Graphics and Media Lab (GML) was established in 1999 as a part of Computer Science department of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Laboratory head is Prof. Yuri. M. Bayakovski, member of ACM Siggraph Computer Graphics Pioneers Club. Laboratory possesses solid research experience in many areas of computer graphics, computer vision, image and video processing. Research is supported by Russian fund for basic research, state contracts, and by international companies Intel, Microsoft, Samsung.

Timur Ibadov, Sergey Ushakov and Alexander Velizhev won the competition for participation in development of Point Cloud Library (http://pointclouds.org) within Code Sprint 2013, sponsored by Honda Research Institute. The Point Cloud Library (PCL) is a standalone, large scale, open source project for 3D point cloud processing. The team will implement and integrate into the library two modern algorithms for 3D point cloud recognition.

Anton Konushin has been awarded a grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the young scientists. The topic of the project is "Content-based search in video archives". Vladimir Kononov will be a collaborator in this grant.
